About the Fourth Cup
I’m Meredith Holley, I’m an astrologer, human design reader, and witch. I’ve studied astrology since around 2001, have been reading natal charts since about that time, and have been a spiritually thirsty and curious person since I was about 5 years old. This has taken me on many journeys immersing myself in Christianity for some time, Buddhism later, and I have continued to be a student of a variety of spiritual beliefs.
I started studying human design around 2018, and I have found it to be a very effective anchor-point for decision making, habit building, and understanding other people’s responses to my energy. My approach to astrology and human design is intended to be human centered, though I do access fate-based approaches as well.
I worked as a civil rights lawyer for about 12 years before founding Fourth Cup Astrology. Around 2023, it became clear that my body was rejecting the dissonance it required to do civil rights work. Although I saw huge successes in the coaching work I did to help people overcome harassment and discrimination in the workplace, taking people through the court process often caused more trauma than it helped to resolve. So, in 2025, I founded Fourth Cup because I believe that when we align with our natures, we can overcome the world’s biggest problems.
I am an eternal student, and so my background includes that I am a second degree Cabot Kent Witch, Certified Hellenistic Astrologer, Certified Electional Astrologer, Reiki Master, Certified Human Design Reader, Certified Mediator, and Certified Life Coach. I completed the work for a Master Coaching certification, but was asked to leave before receiving my final certification because I opposed racism within the program. I was a Peace Corps volunteer in Ukraine in 2003-2004, and I studied human trafficking in Zanzibar in 2010. I have a perfect dog named Pema, and I love reading romantasy books.
Why Fourth Cup? In 2025, the tarot card Four of Cups started haunting me. I especially love the version in the beautiful Chris-Anne Muse deck.
In this version of the card, the pouting woman knows she has three cups, but she is upset, and maybe even disappointed in herself, that she does not have more. The three cups get her far, but not far enough in her eyes. And she misses that she is sitting inside of a giant fourth cup, surrounded by supporting guides.
The three cups she sees may be her mind, heart, and gut. Or the three cups she sees may be the Ace, Two, and Three of Cups, which represent vulnerability, connection, and community.
The fourth cup is her energy body. It is the magic she has access to in spirit.
Astrology and human design are a roadmap to the fourth cup for each of us. When our minds, emotions, bodies, and spirits are aligned, we can make true change and create a better world.
