Gather Your Harvest: Horoscopes September 21-September 27, 2026
Most people treat conflict like a sportsball game, with winners and losers. In my 20+ years working in law and mediation, I found that conflict is more productively approached like a maze. The other people involved in the maze may be partners in navigating it with you, but they may also be booby traps. Resolving conflict is about our relationship with the conflict, not about defeating the other people involved.
In order to truly resolve a conflict and transform it into something creative, you have to enter the maze.
This week, the astrological and human design transits invite us to look at where we encounter conflict or adversity with rigidity and defensiveness and where we encounter what we do want with obsessiveness or defeatism. When we defensively shield ourselves against conflict, or obsess over one potential outcome, we create traps for ourselves. If we approach conflict with curiosity, it becomes a maze we can solve.

For horoscope principles this week, I am primarily looking at the following celestial events:
Monday, September 21, 2026:
Mercury in Libra sextiles Jupiter in Leo at 3:50pm Pacific. This offers supportive energy for expansive and beautiful thinking and communication. If you have been wanting to do a creative communication project (write a poem, story, or song, for example), this is a great day for that.
Tuesday, September 22, 2026:
The Sun goes into Libra at 5:05pm Pacific. This marks Mabon or the autumnal equinox. This is a time to consider what you have grown and harvested this year. Honor what you have created and what the Earth has provided for you.
Friday, September 25, 2026:
The Sun in Libra opposes Neptune in Aries at 6:36pm Pacific. This aspect has a devotional quality to it. Neptune governs the beyond: spirit, confusion, other worldly topics. In Aries, this can relate to issues around the military, courage, authenticity, and war. In opposition to the Sun, what we devote ourselves to can be sources of our disappointment. The high we get from being drunk (whether we are drunk on wine or life) has a hangover after. If we are aware of our engagement with spiritual matters, we can engage safely. If we think our engagement with spirituality is a fixed observation of life, we can set ourselves up for betrayal later.
The Sun in Libra trines Pluto in Aquarius at 10:34pm Pacific. This provides supportive energy for deep introspection and transformation around our identities. When we see beyond ourselves in the Neptune transit earlier in the day, we may come back differently and need to transform our earthly lives as well.
Saturday, September 26, 2026:
The Full Moon in Aries happens at 9:48am Pacific. The Sun here is in Libra and the Moon is in Aries, which brings up issues around the ways we are harmonious in our identities, while we are authentic and courageous in our emotional responses. Libra emphasizes partnership and harmony, while Aries emphasizes the authenticity of the individual. This can create tension around the security we need to show up as our true selves, and the harmony we want to create to connect with others.
In this Full Moon, the Moon is conjunct Neptune, applying to a conjunction later that day to Saturn. In Aries, this can bring up a sense of insecurity and anxiety around having an idealized version of ourselves and our lives and a lot of brutal reminders about where real life does not meet up to that, so be gentle with yourself!
This Full Moon happens while the Sun is still in Gate 46 in human design, just before it transitions to Gate 18 (see below). The Moon is in Gate 25 in human design (accepting the present reality as a path toward unconditional love). This invites us to accept where we are in order to attune to what is correct for us in the outer world.
The Sun goes from human design Gate 46 (being in the right place at the right time) to Gate 18 (the courage to have integrity between our ideals and actions) at around 10am Pacific. In Gate 46, we are tasked with noticing what resonates with us as abundant at any given moment and putting ourselves in that abundant place. Gate 18, then, asks us to look beyond what we already see in front of us toward what an idealized version of it could be. Then, it takes courage and integrity to align with that more idealized version, and we are invited to engage that courage and integrity.
Sunday, September 27, 2026:
Mars in Cancer squares Chiron in Aries 4:58am Pacific. This can bring up our drive to enforce the safety of the close communities we are in and how that triggers our woundings around authenticity and courage. When we identify safety concerns in our communities, often the communities turn against us, seeing us as the safety concern and treating silence around problems as safety. When we are not healthy in our relationships with ourselves, this can bring up self-worth issues. When we are healthy, this invites us to come back to ourselves an care for our authentic uniqueness.
Mars goes into Leo at 7:48pm Pacific. Mars is in what’s called “fall” in Cancer, meaning he is not happy there and quite grouchy. This transition brings our conflicts and sense of assertion into a healthier space, which may mean they are more at the forefront and clear. Leo is a fixed sign, and so the god of war in a fixed sign can get us locked into battles and more rigid in how we handle them. On the other hand, fully expressing conflict allows it to burn through.
The Moon travels through Capricorn, Aquarius, Pisces, and into Aries this week; Venus continues in Scorpio; Saturn continues in Aries; Uranus continues in Gemini.
These are the principles to consider for the week of September 21, 2026. It is worth taking a look at both your rising and sun sign horoscopes (visit astro.com to find your rising sign):
Aries: Our closest partners and accomplices often see us more clearly than we see ourselves. This week, if conflict related to your home or family brings up wounding around your courage and authenticity, ask your closest accomplices to reflect back to you what they see about you and your situation. You are smart, tough, and amazing, and also, sometimes it takes an outside brain to catch areas where anxiety or rigidity are lying to us. Challenge yourself to be vulnerable, even when it is uncomfortable, with the people you trust most.
Taurus: The way to know if something is a message from your spirit, higher self, or intuition or if it is your mind freaking out, is how it feels. This week, if you start to feel superstitious or overly optimistic, check in with how your body feels. If it feels extremely energized or anxious, it is likely your mind freaking out. If it feels neutral and directs you towards health, then it may be spirit or intuition. Trust that you are in the right place right now, even if your feelings are uncomfortable.
Gemini: A fractal is a geometric expression that exists as the same pattern on a micro level as a macro level. When we have big ideas, in order to turn them into creative projects, we often have to understand how the macro idea exists in a micro form. This week offers you insight into that related to your creative projects. If vulnerability comes up in sharing your creativity with your friends, tap into the courageous integrity you have. The filter you have on your friends’ responses will be skewed, so intentionally skew it towards assuming that they love what you are creating instead of assuming the worst.
Cancer: When we keep our ideas in the visionary space, rather than turning them into tangible creations, it often seems like we are protecting ourselves from rejection. Actually, we are rejecting our ideas ahead of time. You are going through a phase where your career or public facing life is somehow both more nebulous and more concrete than it has been in the past, which likely creates anxiety that may make you want to delay action in your career space, while your home life is more calm. You have the opportunity to align the beauty you feel at home with the authenticity you are developing in your career so that you are yourself inside and out, including the woundings that brings up.
Leo: We culturally create hierarchies around learning, calling learning some “higher” than other learning. Really, the learning we do as a child (and a lot of the unlearning we later do about our childhood conditioning) is the most impactful in most of our lives. This week, your wounding, insecurities, and even ideals around learning come to the forefront. Remember that you are in the right place right now and lean towards learning that is courageously, authentically, aligned with who you are becoming.
Virgo: In capitalist culture, we center property ownership and money accumulation, but each of us typically does this according to our conditioning. By that I mean that each of us thinks our relationship with money is normal, but usually normal is defined by how our families handled money. This week, consider your relationship with money, as though money was a person you were meeting for the first time. Notice the assumptions you have and be curious about any unconscious assumptions you bring to that relationship.
Libra: The tricky thing about magical thinking is that it feels magical at the time. So, that seems good, right? And then the mismatch between the fantasy and reality kicks in, and we often have a crash landing. This week, if you feel the pull to idealize your partners and contort yourself to what you imagine they expect you to be, invite yourself to step into the courage of integrity. This can offset the harsh consequences of codependency coming from the outside. You have the energy and authenticity to practice this and step into a deeper level of what it means to be yourself.
Scorpio: Our bodies are the bridge between our minds, emotions, and spirits. That means that to grow beyond our current versions of self, the deepest work we can do includes and honors our bodies rather than abandoning them. This week offers you the opportunity to connect deeply with your spiritual knowing, and also if you leave your body behind, you will have swift consequences. It is deeply spiritual to allow your body to have needs, and those needs can be a path toward greater integrity.
Sagittarius: In order to build friendships, we have to work out a balance of showing up honestly as ourselves and allowing space for the other person. This week starts out with optimism around how you communicate with, and think of, your friends and social groups, and the end of the week may bring up some wounding around what it means to be yourself. Sometimes, being authentic in our relationships can start with doing the work of getting to know ourselves, even when it is uncomfortable.
Capricorn: We give the the misnomer label of “people pleasing” to the experience of feeling pressure to put on a certain type of face to the world, whether that face proves we are happy or proves we are harmed. It is a misnomer because usually nobody is pleased with it. This week brings up wounding you have around being authentic in your most public-facing life. Notice the the inflated way your mind shows other people’s thoughts about you and consider that other people are mostly thinking about themselves. This could give you permission to be more vulnerably you.
Aquarius: I’m not the kind of guy to say that you have to make peace with the advancements of technology because that’s likely not really your journey in this life. And also, it can be healthy to decide how you can orient to changes in technology you do not like so that you can maintain both your authenticity and your connection to the relationships and art forms that you value. If your loved ones are on social media or texting groups, it is worth considering how you can join them in a way that is structured to protect your boundaries and still honors your relationships.
Pisces: How we feel is always valid, but the thoughts that create our feelings are sometimes unhealthy. This week, be aware of any tendency to idealize what it means to be your authentic self and treat other people valuing your authenticity as a security issue. Authenticity is important and also it exists regardless of how other people behave around you. Other people do not have to recognize the beauty of your authenticity in order for it to be valid and gorgeous.
