More Health Is More Health: Horoscopes July 20-26, 2026
One thing I like to say is “more suffering creates more suffering and more health creates more health.” We cannot suffer our way toward a better world; we can only suffer our way toward increased suffering.
That is not to say that if you have suffered, it is your fault or you should pretend it didn’t happen. Suffering exists. And if we want a better world, we need to take seriously adding better into the world we have.
If you caught my post last week, you know that there was a Cosmic Pentacle in the sky on Sunday, July 19. There is another one involving the moon on Friday, July 24. And also, twice a day, while the outer planets are configured in Barbault’s Basket or the cradle formation, there are pentacles and merkabas in the sky when the ascendant or midheaven are in Libra and Sagittarius.
The pentacle is a symbol of protection and prosperity. The merkaba is a symbol of alignment to access higher consciousness.
This week is like that experience of doing breath work, where the instructor says, “Take a deep breath. Now breathe in a little more.” You didn’t know you could fit that “little more” in, but you could. This week invites you to expand your passions, imagine your most idealistic version of a courageous future for yourself, and build structures to support that new reality. If things get overwhelming, pause and look within to honor your personal experience, while letting your influence on the collective become more aligned.

For horoscope principles this week, I am primarily looking at the following celestial events:
Jupiter in Leo trines Neptune in Aries on Monday, July 20, 2026, at 12:23am Pacific. If you thought your ideals were big and that you were passionate about them, this transit asks you if they could get a little bigger. This is also a difficult aspect for the fires we are seeing in North America and other fire-related problems like war. It may indicate confusion (Neptune) around why the fires and wars have been so big. The lesson is to look at the reality of the problem and establish clear boundaries and expectations rather than getting caught up in confusion.
Jupiter in Leo opposes Pluto in Aquarius on Monday, July 20, 2026, at 7:44am Pacific. This is a tense aspect between the planet of expansion in a sign associated with the self and the planet of transformation and oppression in the sign associated with the collective. We can make the collective oppression about us in a performative or competitive way or we can make the collective oppression about us in a way that takes responsibility for our part in it. The more you make this about you, the more you are invited to expand your authentic efforts to contribute to the transformation you want to see. If you get overwhelmed, pause and look within to what is deeply important to you.
Jupiter in Leo sextiles Uranus in Gemini on Tuesday, July 21, 2026, at 4:10am Pacific. As you are expanding, be willing to pivot, allow surprise, and integrate the unexpected. If every surprise or “mistake” is an alert to a magickal door you could walk through, be open to the gift in that and willing to release sensitivities around ego.
The Sun goes into Leo on Wednesday, July 22, 2026, at 12:13pm Pacific. In Human Design this means the Sun transitions from Gate 56 (a Cancerian gate in the throat energy center) and into Gate 31 (a Leo gate in the throat energy center). Gate 56 asks us to turn inward to our unique (and evolving) truth and share that, when we want to distract ourselves with over-stimulation. Gate 31 asks us to influence others through our own alignment, when we might want to perform perfection. Leo is fixed fire and invites us to be self-focused and the rulers of our own lives. Leo energy gives you access to the energy of aligning how you are on the outside with your inner priorities.
The Sun in Leo squares Chiron in Taurus on Thursday, July 23, 2026, at 8:35am Pacific. When we are invited to be aligned in a way that people can see our alignment, that often brings up wounding. This is a tense aspect that spurs us on to get our needs met through being more upfront about them. This also can represent how triggering it is to do exactly that, though. Just because being authentic brings up wounding or feels uncomfortable, does not mean it is unsafe. And also, care for yourself around this. Pay attention to what is actually unsafe.
Mercury stations direct on Thursday, July 23, 2026, at 3:57pm Pacific. For those of you with Mercury ruled charts, you may breathe a sigh of relief about this! And also, the three weeks after the retrograde is over are a time where the mistakes we made during the retrograde come back to us to give us another chance to redo. Remember, retrograde redos are magick. Rather than getting frustrated that things did not go right the first time, be curious about the gift in the redo.
Venus in Virgo sextiles Mercury in Cancer on Friday, July 24, 2026, at 9:12am Pacific. This is a sweet opportunity to lend some of the Virgo analysis and tidying to your Mercury retrograde redos. What did you say badly the first time that you want to make more beautiful? Now is your chance to make that happen.
Pluto in Aquarius sextiles Neptune in Aries on Friday, July 24, 2026, at 10:26pm Pacific. This is the last of the aspects technically associated with the Barbault Basket, though the Sun transit later in the week emphasizes this configuration. Consider the ways you idealize how you would show up if you were a politician or leader of a country or army. Create parameters and boundaries that transform how you are currently showing up for your local community into that version of yourself.
Saturn stations retrograde in Aries on Sunday, July 26, 2026, at 12:56pm Pacific. From this day until December 2026, Saturn travels backwards from 14 degrees Aries to 7 degrees Aries. Then, Saturn will change direction again and go forward over these degrees. Planets you have from around 4-17 degrees of Cardinal signs will be impacted by hard aspects from Saturn, so check your personal chart for that. I do not interpret this as having too much significance in our personal lives, except that if you do not like the results you are getting, specifically related to those degrees of your chart, change your actions to get different results.
The Sun in Leo opposes Pluto in Aquarius on Sunday, July 26, 2026, at 11:54pm Pacific. As the Sun does this, it also approaches a conjunction with Jupiter and supportive aspects with Uranus and Neptune. What is not working in our collective rebirth comes front and center. If you do not want light to shine on any part of your transformation, you might not have a choice. Better to be honest with yourself ahead of time about what needs additional alignment than hide. If you are proud of your transformations, allow this proud light to honor them.
Mars continues in Gemini.
vThese are the principles to consider for the week of July 13, 2026. It is worth taking a look at both your rising and sun sign horoscopes (visit astro.com to find your rising sign):
Aries: Conflict on the internet is something that many people take incredibly personally, leading to backlash about “cancel culture.” Most of the ramifications of “cancel culture” are caused by the person being “canceled” choosing defensiveness over curiosity. This week may bring out some fights or bickering for you (bonus points if it’s on the internet). And, in the midst of that, notice the nurturing home spaces you have created. Cast a spell to pull that nurturing energy around you whether conflict exists or not.
Taurus: When we see all perspectives, we lose all perspective. Perspective is unique and your perspective is yours, even if other people disagree, and even if those disagreements are valid. This week, consider how your creative projects align with your values. Your money and values are in a period of change, and that means you can release what is not aligned for you. Consider what feels nurturing to you in your closest community, and that might give you insight into what you value most. Release creative projects that are not aligned with your values and honor ones that are.
Gemini: Money is energy all around us, like water. Many of us want more money, or more fairness around money, but we also hang onto fear of it or aversion to it. This week, consider your relationship with money as though money was your friend. If you gave a friend as much attention as you give money, consider whether they would stay friends with you. This New Moon is a chance to cast a spell calling in money as a source of nurture and comfort.
Cancer: When birds make a nest, they take little (or big) twigs, and carefully stack them and other fun materials, all the while turning around in a circle to snuggle into it. As you consider new foundations and boundaries in your career and public facing life and have fast changes in your thinking, this is like generating a new nest for yourself. Make sure you are treating these changes as a nest that is meant to incubate you. Release any inclination to bring punishment into your nest because that would not serve the new self you are incubating.
Leo: Defensiveness often comes up when we are self-identified with a topic or behavior that someone else questions. If I say, “You have exposed electrical wiring,” and you become defensive, we know you don’t want to fix the electrical wiring, and that may become dangerous. This week, notice what harmful cultural messages you might be protecting unconsciously because it feels to sensitive to see they are harmful. Especially, pay attention to the harmful messages about yourself. Healing a wound can mean experiencing the pain of the wound first. Commit to speaking to yourself in kind and nurturing ways.
Virgo: Dr. Maya Angelou said, “People will forget what you said. People will forget what you did. But people will never forget how you made them feel.” During this Mercury Retrograde, that message is one to remember. Look to how it feels to be nurtured and experience loyalty in your social groups, and intentionally start a new cycle of honoring that. Incorporate that feeling into the changes you are experiencing in your career, even as you allow discomfort of change.
Libra: Casting spells is most effective when you focus on shifting your experience and release anyone else’s. For example, it gets better results to cast a spell for a career that has particular qualities than for a particular job. This week, cast a spell for the qualities you want your career and public-facing life to have. Make sure you include how it nurtures you and meets your needs first, before any other loyalties come into the spell.
Scorpio: Thinking about billionaires becomes extra bizarre if you substitute collecting money for any other substance. “Oh, yeah, Jeff Bezos collects beanie babies. He has a few billion,” is a cause for mental health concern, not envy. “Taylor Swift’s tour is so popular that she’s collected a couple of billion gallons of water.” No. It’s weird. This week gives you the opportunity to change how you encounter other people’s money and resource hoarding and be direct about what you need, even if you can understand their perspective.
Sagittarius: People who travel to other countries and live there for a length of time often have a different philosophical understanding of security than those who stay in the same place. Based on race, we used to label these people as “ex pats” or “immigrants” to signify hierarchy. This week, consider how other people’s values influence your philosophy of how secure you are around change. Specifically, if partnerships do not have to maintain status quo for you to be secure, consider how you would see the world differently. Learn from how other cultures view partnership.
Capricorn: We can learn more about what we value by studying how we spend our time than imagining what perfect values might be. Similarly, we can learn a lot about how we partner by looking at how we care for ourselves. This week is a good opportunity to cast a spell for developing a nurturing and trustworthy partnership with yourself. Your understanding of what you value is transforming, and showing up authentically in your most private spaces (with yourself) is a supportive part of that.
Aquarius: Humanity has evolved with strong fear signals that are meant to protect us from threats, but also make it hard for us to hear information outside of what is familiar to us. Communicating in simple language is often more effective than nuance because of this fear experience. This week, consider how you can integrate the transformations you are experiencing into a simple sentence (or 3-5 words) that represent who you are becoming. Turn that into a creative project that engages your body.
Pisces: Overwhelm and procrastination often have somewhat similar mechanisms because they are systems to back us into a corner until the fear of the corner is more intense than the fear of taking action. This week, you have an intense amount of creativity available to you, and you may feel backed into a corner enough to use it. If you start to overthink, stop and use your energy to create something that is supposed to be ugly and messy and real. Cast a spell to initiate a new cycle of creative projects.
