Happy Pride!! (Horoscopes June 8-14, 2026)

Pride Month started with protest and violent police action against people being honest about who they truly are. I say that because every pride story involves courage. Every time we say who we truly are, say what we truly love, say what attracts us, it is a moment of courage. Pride is a specific form of courage, and it models for all of us how to build the courage of sovereignty over our lives.

One time, I was talking to a friend about authenticity and he his objection to being more authentically himself was, “What if I find out that who I am is bad, though?”

And, listen, we are all someone’s villain. We are all bad to someone else, no matter how much we cover up who we are. The more we notice and embody what we love, though, the more the people who should hate us are the ones who do.

This week, the astrology offers us the opportunity to expand what we love and also notice the consequences of how we think and talk. Notice and honor what you love.

For horoscope principles this week, I am primarily looking at the following celestial events:

  • Venus goes conjunct Jupiter in Cancer on Tuesday, June 9, 2026, at 12:59pm Pacific!!! Happy Pride, everyone!! This is a special day, where the two celestial benefics come together in the sweet and loyal sign of Cancer, and so this is a tender time for growth in how you see beauty. And, listen, that doesn’t mean you have to have a good day. This is a great day to lean into growth around beauty wherever Cancer lands in your chart, but part of beauty is acknowledging ugliness, part of healing is acknowledging pain. Allow beauty when it finds you without putting expectations on yourself. This conjunction starts a new cycle in the relationship between Venus and Jupiter, and so be open to receiving information about what growth will look like for you over then approximately 13 months.

  • Mercury in Cancer squares Saturn in Aries on Tuesday, June 9, 2026, at 10:38pm Pacific. This is a good opportunity to look externally from yourself to see the impact of your thoughts and words. During Pride Month, an incredibly important thing all of us can do is take seriously the consequences of the ways we limit ourselves from full self-expression. Being who you love and doing what you love adds more love. This transit is a good time to question narratives that have restrictive or self-harming impacts.

  • Mercury goes into its pre-retrograde shadow in Cancer on Friday, June 12, 2026, at 5:53pm Pacific. Ok, gang, this may be my toxic trait, but I love a Mercury retrograde. I think every snafu during a Mercury retrograde is an opportunity to notice a portal opening into something magical. The pre-shadow is when we get a hint about what the topics of the retrograde will be.

  • Venus in Cancer squares Chiron in Aries on Friday, June 12, 2026, at 10:23pm Pacific. When we experience growth, especially the growth associated with Venusian topics like love, money, and beauty (which the Venus Jupiter conjunction earlier this week initiates), it usually brings up our vulnerabilities and insecurities. It feels vulnerable to be a bigger version of who we are. This Venus/Chiron square reflects a trigger of that vulnerability that reminds you to integrate your wounding in service of your growth.

  • Venus goes into Leo on Saturday, June 13, 2026, at 3:46am Pacific. The Venus transits through Cancer and Leo frame both the vulnerability and the flair that Pride Month holds. Leo is a fire sign, represented by the lion basking in the savannah. Leo brings the flair side of pride. Venus in Leo knows she’s beautiful for just being herself, so be loud and proud with who you are under this transit!

  • The Gemini New Moon happens on Sunday, June 14, 2026, at 7:54pm Pacific. Welcome changes and allow freedom. The Sun and Moon meet each other in Gemini, the sign that expresses multiple perspectives and reminds us that two things can be true at the same time. Find the security and safety it brings to express your multiplicity.

  • Mars continues in Taurus; Uranus continues in Gemini; Pluto continues in Aquarius.

These are the principles to consider for the week of June 1, 2026. It is worth taking a look at both your rising and sun sign horoscopes (visit astro.com to find your rising sign):

Aries: How we see ourselves and how our family sees us is often quite different, no matter how close we are with our family. And, the reflection your family (including chosen family) offers you is valuable information that you should listen to right now. You are going through a period of swift consequences, and those are meant to show you the impact you make on the world. If you don’t like the impact you have, it doesn’t mean you are bad. It just means you are allowed to change so that you like your results better. Now is a great time to make any changes or tweaks that get you better results.

Taurus: Other people, even the people closest to us, don’t know our needs until we communicate them. Allow your unconscious limitations and woundings around how you communicate your needs to your closest community, and how you allow them to be met, come up this week. Look at what those unconscious limitations create and how your closest relationships may heal some of those wounds. The New Moon at the end of the week allows you to shift what abundance means for you and how you relate to what you value most.

Gemini: Business strategist Jim Rohn says that you are the average of the five people you spend the most time with. This week, consider how your friend and social groups impact your values and how abundance shows up in your life. Rather than using your friends as a ceiling for how expansive your abundance can be, consider surpassing them, even if it’s uncomfortable. The New Moon at the end of the week offers an opportunity to welcome a new, more free version of yourself.

Cancer: One of the lessons that Pride Month offers is that being uniquely you is special and the more yourself you are willing to be, the more it helps all of us. This week, if you believe the limitations imposed by your career interfere with being fully, expansively yourself, consider how those constraints can push you into creativity instead of stagnation. Imagine your future self, including the new problems she has, an how she solved the problems you have now.

Leo: Institutional ideals train us to leave behind or reject parts of ourselves in order to offer cheap labor to the system. Your relationship to your inner child, who absorbed these messages at a tender age, has had the opportunity to grow over the past year. This week, that cycle ends and a new growth in that area starts. Relate in a new way to the triggers you have around institutional judgment. While this sounds heavy, the end of the week offers you an opportunity to refresh how you see fun in your friend and social groups.

Virgo: The 8 of Swords card in tarot reminds us that most limitations exist in our minds, while in reality our lives are abundant. This week, the expansion you have experienced in your friend and social groups ends a cycle and starts a new one. Even if your mind tells you that other people are judging you, look to your external reality and ask what gifts (tangible or intangible) your social groups are offering you, not what judgments other people might have about you. The reality of judgments may also contain gifts.

Libra: Bigger isn’t always easier. You have been experiencing expansion of how you show up in your career and public facing life, and this is a tender place in your chart. This week, consider how you can expand the protections and boundaries that make your vulnerability safe, even as you start a new cycle of expanding how your vulnerability looks publicly. Communicate with your partners the support you expect and need, rather than bypassing the ways they trigger you.

Scorpio: Hermetic wisdom teaches, “As above, so below.” This means that our internal experience, our daily lives, and the the cosmos are all reflections of each other. And, none of these typically reflect our ideals. This week, your ideals are upgrading. What you imagine is possible is completing a cycle and starting a new one. If you notice that the limitations of your health and daily life don’t match your ideals, use that as information, not as reasons to shut down your dreams. Be open to messages from your guides and ancestors.

Sagittarius: Pride Month celebrates that s*x**lity and gender are not and have never been one thing, but exist on a spectrum. The same is true, especially for you, with partnerships. This week, script your own coming out or s*x**l awakening, no matter how old you are or how long ago you came out the first time. If something about how young people handle their relationships triggers you, use that as information about the growth available to you over your next year. Allow freedom to be a form of safety in your closest partnerships.

Capricorn: How we treat ourselves teaches other people how to treat us. We grow up with romantic messages, telling us that if we find our soulmates, they will heal us, but really, you are your first partner and first soulmate. Consider what ideal partnership would look like to you this week. Then, do something tangible to provide that to yourself, without expecting any other people to participate. If you are worried about judgment from your family, remember that you are your most important family and partner. Make the changes to your daily habits to implement ideal self-partnership.

Aquarius: Annie Dillard offers you this wisdom: “How you spend your time is how you spend your life.” This week is particularly expansive in how you handle your daily routines, and sometimes that can lead to overwhelm. When in doubt, pick the most loving and beautiful option. If you are worried that your close community won’t get it, redirect your thinking towards all of the examples of weirdness around you. You know how to show up as truly, weirdly you every day. This week challenges you to elevate what that means.

Pisces: Scarcity and maturity are two different experiences, and you can know which one you’re engaging in by paying attention to how they feel in your body. This week, you have the chance to abundantly support the young people around you in whatever their authentic sexual identity is. Don’t let your scarcity thinking get in the way of the learning from the abundance young people’s optimism models for you.
