Stop Thinking; Feel Feelings: Horoscopes June 29-July 5, 2026
In astrology, there are three modalities, which are called Cardinal, Fixed, and Mutable, and each sign falls into one of those modes.
Cardinal signs initiate action, and they are associated with the start of a new season (e.g. Aries starts spring). Fixed signs maintain the status quo, and they are associated with the mid-point of a season (e.g. Taurus is mid-spring). Mutable signs adapt to change, and they are associated with change in season (e.g. Gemini transitions into summer).
I say this because you have each of these modes in your chart and they are all being activated in uncomfortable ways this week. This week has the violence of life breaking through the husk of a seed to climb toward the sun. Unfortunately, I am here to tell you that even if you want to be reactive to the pokes, prods, and overwhelms of the universe this week, your best move will be to feel your feelings and allow uncomfortable change. Thinking things through and being reactive are less likely to get you the results you ultimately want. And, once you process your feelings, by all means take action to make the changes we need for our collective growth!

For horoscope principles this week, I am primarily looking at the following celestial events:
Mercury goes retrograde in Cancer at 10:35am Pacific on Monday, June 29, 2026. This is a time when things don’t work quite right. You have enough small snafus and misunderstandings that they pile up and everything seems frustrating. The lesson for a Mercury retrograde, especially in Cancer, is to slow down and savor each experience, including the ones that “go wrong.” Behind each mistake is a magical door waiting to take you to something better than your original plan.
The Capricorn Full Moon happens at 4:56pm Pacific on Monday, June 29, 2026. The Sun is in Cancer, opposite the Moon in Capricorn for this aspect. This focuses on how we nurture, both privately and institutionally. While our security might feel tied to institutions, our private expression of life has sensitive intuition that can tell us whether that is healthy for us or not. Loyalty is great, but make sure you are loyal to yourself first.
Jupiter goes into Leo at 10:52pm Pacific on Monday, June 29, 2026. This is the planet of expansion and growth and so look to where Leo is in your chart for the area of life where you are invited to expand through this transit. Jupiter has been in Cancer for the past year, and the Mercury retrograde invites you to revisit the growth you have had in that area of your chart, while you enter into a new period of expansion. Cancer is more private than Leo, and so your private loyalties may have expanded over the past year, while you are stepping into a more public expansion.
Jupiter in Leo squares Chiron in Taurus at 7:23pm Pacific on Wednesday, June 1, 2026. Right as Jupiter goes into Leo, he squares Chiron, the wounded healer. This invites you to look at your wounding around the idea that you are too much and need too much.
Mars goes conjunct Uranus in Gemini at 11:07pm Pacific on Friday, July 3, 2026. This transit is building starting on June 28, when Mars goes into Gemini, and it brings a sense of restlessness, instability, and uncertainty. When we are reactive to that feeling, it can lead to violence and harm. If we can sit with the experience of instability and restlessness, we can allow it to transform us and bring clarity around the changes we need to make in life and the actions we can take to be more free. The peak of this transit is not the best time to take those actions, unless they have been building for some time. Be wary of reactive change and allow your patience to stretch.
Mars in Gemini sextiles Neptune in Aries at 5:44pm Pacific on Saturday, July 4, 2026. This is a supportive aspect for taking courageous action toward your ideals. Mars rules how we show up in terms of taking action, and he has just moved from slow and deliberate Taurus to quick moving Gemini. Neptune rules idealism, and in Aries this idealism applies to courage and authenticity. Together this allows us to take courageous action to create our ideals, which likely involves enforcing boundaries.
Mars in Gemini trines Pluto in Aquarius at this 6:06am Pacific on Sunday, July 5, 2026. This aspect incorporates deep transformation into the work Mars is already doing in your Gemini house. Pluto is asking us to transform how we handle our duties to the collective, and Mars is ready to take action to create more freedom. Capture these aspects to take action toward a more equitable community.
Venus continues in Leo; Saturn continues in Aries.
These are the principles to consider for the week of June 22, 2026. It is worth taking a look at both your rising and sun sign horoscopes (visit astro.com to find your rising sign):
Aries: When we look to governments and institutions to change, it can be completely justified and even helpful, and also the first change we have control over is the change in our personal lives. If our government is run by predators and we want that to change, we can start with refusing to tolerate predatory behavior in our personal lives. Even predatory or self-harming thinking is something we can stop tolerating. Big change is coming to your most intimate community. May it involve healthy boundaries.
Taurus: Energetic boundaries are just as important as physical and emotional boundaries. Energetic boundaries honor the sacred nature of your personal energy and sovereignty. This week, showing up with your closest community will give you information about your energetic boundaries. If you are giving away your energy, that’s information about what shifts you want to make, not judgment about your worth. Make time to add beauty to your home, and it may give you other insight into the energetic shifts you need.
Gemini: I’m not saying this to personally attack or offend you, but no matter how rude this truth is, things do not have to be fast in order to be worthwhile. You are entering into a period, as Mercury slows and goes retrograde next week, where checking in with your most vulnerable and nurturing values is more important than knowing the fast and right answer. This does not mean you have to be reactive to your feelings, but they may give you more reliable information than pressuring your thinking to be quick.
Cancer: Just like you are not your kids and you are not your partners, you are also not your career, what you produce, or your public reputation. You are something much more complex and private than any of those facets or images. This week, look at the results you are getting in your career and consider whether there are any boundaries you want to enforce to protect the sensitives paces of who you are and allow you to be more fully yourself. Welcome revelations and downloads from your unconscious.
Leo: All parts of us need rest and nurture. You are entering a season where it is important to listen to the signals that you need rest. One of those signals may be feeling sad, depressed, or lower energy than usual. You don’t need more coffee, you need a nap and some alone time. Your ideals and expectations of yourself are one piece of information about who you can become, and having boundaries with your inner task-master is just as important as having boundaries with any person.
Virgo: Feelings are one source of data about any situation. Most of us were raised to be suspicious of feelings and believe thinking is superior to feelings. But, you are going into a time period where honoring your feelings without overthinking is important. If something feels off to you, you don’t need to find a good reason for that, just leave the situation. Use your strong analytical skills to find spaces that feel nurturing to you, rather than turning them against yourself.
Libra: Intimacy with others is sacred, and so is your individual experience of authenticity and courage within relationships. This week invites you to look at the boundaries and structures you have put into place in your partnerships since the Spring Equinox, and whether they support the safety and nurture you deserve in your public-facing life. Take that as neutral information and then consider what about your ideals may need to shift so that you can embrace more freedom.
Scorpio: Our ideals represent a higher sense of our potential, and also we can understand what we truly value by looking at our daily lives. When our habits and routines don’t reflect our higher ideals, that is good information to have. This week, the cosmos is giving you tangible information about where your ideals may be in tension with your health. When in doubt, treat your body with care as the sacred vessel it is, rather that pressuring it to conform to ideals that don’t serve you.
Sagittarius: The difference between enforcing a boundary and exerting coercive control is that you enforce a boundary in response to what comes into your space. It does not require other people to conform to your expectations. This week, evaluate the boundaries you have related to your children or creative projects, and how they use other people’s money. Because this is about other people, be conscious of the difference between a boundary and control. Changes are coming related to your partnerships, so practice healthy ways to process anger and frustration when people act outside of your expectations.
Capricorn: Understanding consent in personal relationships starts with understanding and respecting our own boundaries. When we do not respect and enforce our own boundaries, it is hard to understand or hear other people’s. This week, evaluate whether you are getting the results you want in your partnerships, and if you want to get different results, make sure you are clear about your own boundaries and receptive to other people’s. Consider being open to being open (even hesitantly) to changing how you think of boundaries because what you are doing now could seriously impact your health in July if you are not open to change.
Aquarius: Revolution is a daily practice of transforming our expectations and personal relationships, not primarily an acute moment of action, though it may include that. This week, examine whether your daily life supports and reflects the revolution you want to see in your community. As we go into July, the cosmos gives you the opportunity to create what your community needs to transform into a structure supportive of the most vulnerable. Take the call when it comes. What is healthy transformation for you is also healthy for your people.
Pisces: Often people resist feeling love, even though they are the only ones who experience the feeling, believing that love means absence of boundaries. In fact, love includes respecting our own boundaries and those of other people. If you have had a hard time establishing your boundaries related to money, especially with your children and creative projects, now is time to take stock. If you feel frustrated or angry at home, allow those feelings, but take stock before you act on them.
